The future’s weird. Just when you’re disappointed with the lack of Star Trek-style replicators (come on, scientists), something unexpectedly badass rears its head. You know, like the Naked 3D fitness tracker. Marketed as the world’s first home body scanner, the device comes in two main parts. The first is a rotating scale you stand on and the other is a mirror. Together, the pair of devices creates a three-dimensional model of your body, measures your weight, and monitors your fat percentage. The aim? To help you get in shape. Check out a (somewhat cheesy) video of it in action here: Often,…

Naked Labs raises $14M Series A led by Founders Fund for its 3D body scanning mirror
When it comes to measuring your fitness progress, there’s only so much your weight scale can tell you, actually there’s only one thing it can convey. Those ridiculous Bird scooters are now in Europe
Bird, the electric scooter rental company that’s worth $2 billion for some reason, is coming to Europe. The first city to be “graced†with Bird’s Scooters is Paris. Here, the company has cautiously launched with a pilot program of between 50 and 100 two-wheelers, all of which will probably be stolen by the end of next week. The company also plans to launch in Tel Aviv in the coming weeks, although a date isn’t set in stone. According to Reuters, Bird is approaching its first international launch cautiously. It’s working with the local authorities in Paris and Tel Aviv, which…

SlideShare Gems is the best Twitter account in existence
Twitter is incredible (and horrendous) for so many reasons. It’s a great place to follow trending news stories, share your thoughts, get into fights with people who don’t share your thoughts, and more. It’s also an incredible place for exploring niche interests — ones you didn’t even know you had. This week, we happened upon the Twitter account, SlideShare Gems. It’s exactly as advertised — a collection of slides pulled from random slideshows, and tweeted without context. And let’s just say we were inspired. Nay, transformed. The account is run by internet artist, Neil Cicierega. He has created several other…
