Shawn Mendes feat. Khalid “Youth” Music Video [OFFICIAL TRAILER] — Apple Music

Watch the music video on November 5, only on Apple Music: https://apple.co/AppleMusic-Youth You can’t take our youth away. The long-form music video by Shawn Mendes, featuring Khalid, spotlights some of the most exceptional young people from around the world making a difference against an emotionally-charged “Youth” anthem. The video creates a literal stage to celebrate and honor the young, diverse and talented amongst us. The trailer for “Youth” features a timely excerpt from a speech Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered to Barratt Junior High School in South Philadelphia in October of 1967. The speech, titled “What is Your Life’s Blueprint?”, encouraged the young students to “be the best of whatever you are.” Try Apple Music free for three months: https://apple.co/FreeTrial https://ift.tt/2D0h1Fo Apple November 04, 2018 at 11:59AM

Why we lie to ourselves, every day

Human action requires motivation, but what exactly are those motivations? Donating money to a charity might be motivated by altruism, and yet, only 1% of donations are anonymous. Donors don’t just want to be altruistic, they also want credit for that altruism plus badges to signal to others about their altruistic ways. Worse, we aren’t […] https://ift.tt/2qv9Hdz Danny Crichton November 04, 2018 at 12:00PM

What if Google unionized?

Last week more than 20,000 Google employees walked out of their workplace to protest, and demand major changes in, how the company handles harassment and discrimination. Mass employee organization, demands made of management — doesn’t that all vaguely remind you of some kind of old-fashioned twentieth-century concept? What was it called again? The name’s on […] https://ift.tt/2Qife2h Jon Evans November 04, 2018 at 12:00PM

Sorry to bother you, but I apologize too much over email

After clearing out my emails and private messages, I realized I’m never sorry — but every other thread or message I send starts with an apology. “Sorry to bug you!” “I was just wondering…” “…Totally fine if not.” Why do I apologize for existing in every email I send? I saw a tweet over the weekend, and it reminded me of a college class I once took — “how to write like a man,” a.k.a. with unapologetic confidence. As feminist advocate Lois Wyse once said: “Men are taught to apologize for their weaknesses, women for their strengths.” Every work email I send: Hey!…

AUTEL EVO Drone Sample Footage

FULL REVIEW COMING SOON ON TECHAERIS: This is sample footage taken with the AUTEL EVO drone. Sorry, the subject matter isn't more interesting. These were among my first ever drone flights. The Autel EVO is a very forgiving drone and I believe an excellent choice for new drone pilots like myself. It only took me a matter of 3 flights to become comfortable with the drone and I was on my way. Had I more time for the review, I would have shot some more interesting things. All the footage here is straight out of the camera in 4K 30fps. There was no color grading or manipulation done to the footage other than video transitions.
