John McAfee’s ‘unhackable’ cryptocurrency wallet has been hacked (again)
Remember John McAfee’s supposedly “unhackable†cryptocurrency wallet? It appears a group of researchers is about to prove the once-lauded antivirus pioneer wrong. After cracking the so-called Bitfi wallet to play legendary game DOOM on it, today the researchers were able to successfully send signed transactions with the device – that is despite the “security†mechanisms Bitfi has in place to prevent attackers from doing that. Well, that's a transaction made with a MitMed Bitfi, with the phrase and seed being sent to a remote machine. That sounds a lot like Bounty 2 to me. pic.twitter.com/qBOVQ1z6P2 — Ask Cybergibbons! The Meg’s giant shark is an AI-powered marvel
The worldwide box office was dominated by a 75-foot-long shark over the weekend. The Meg, a Warner Bros. film, managed to rake in over $140 million amid the global feeding frenzy. And everyone wants to know how the filmmakers managed to make the monster look so real. The answer, of course, is artificial intelligence. The eponymous meg (short for megalodon) in the movie is actually a computer-generated great white shark that’s been scaled up from about 17-feet to 75-feet-long. Bringing the monster to life was no small feat. Scanline VFX created the effects using Ziva Dynamics software and AI. It…

It’s not just you: Shutterstock has been up and down for the last day
We’ve been trying to get on Shutterstock all morning with no success, and it’s apparently not just us. The site has been down for everyone for a good part of the morning and, if Shutterstock’s Twitter is anything to go by, it might be so for a while. We were able to reach the main Shutterstock page easily, but when I tried to log in with my username, I was thrown to an error page. I’ve been intermittently able to access the site since, but other users appear to still be having trouble, if Twitter is anything to go by.…
