Google fights global expansion of the EU’s right to be forgotten
Google is fighting French lawyers in the European Union court to avoid expanding the scope of “right to be forgotten†judgment globally. The company said that broadening the scope is “completely unenvisagableâ€Â and “imposing on the values of different countries.†To recap, the right to be forgotten allows someone to request Google to take down links about them, which are obsolete or irrelevant.
