Microsoft Unboxed: Everyday AI in Austin, TX (Ep. 7)

This week, join Microsoft Unboxed cohosts Sonia and Colleen in Austin, TX. First, they get the word on the street on artificial intelligence, asking people about their associations with AI and how they use it day-to-day. Then, our hosts return to the Microsoft lounge to discuss their favorite examples of everyday AI. Sonia shares how Bing search is enhanced with AI, which expands the range of available results, and Resume Assistant, a software building better resumes and aiding the job search experience. Colleen unpacks accessibility technologies that use artificial intelligence, like Microsoft Translator, a speech recognition software that enables live captions and translation services. Second up is Seeing AI, an app designed for the blind and low-vision community that opens up the visual world by describing nearby people, text, and objects. Tune in this week to Microsoft Unboxed to see how people interact with AI in their everyday lives. Microsoft Unboxed is a weekly YouTube series from Microsoft, hosted by Sonia Dara and Colleen O’Brien. We’ll look at Microsoft’s latest technology, and the people and stories behind the tech.
