McGregor will reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the project. The series will air on Disney+, with production beginning in summer 2020. The show will be directed by Deborah Chow. In the series, Obi-Wan will deal with the fallout from Anakin Skywalker turning to the Dark Side and the mass extermination of the Jedi at his hands.
